Raw-somely delicious Sprout Revolution Sprouted Flax Crackers

We're coming out naked or partially uncovered, well that's what they say at least ... never start a blog with one entry... oops we are and we hope you'll come back for more 'pieces' as we go. We will be writing and sharing recipes and ideas for people in hopes of us all achieving more complete nutrition so we are all able to live our best lives ever (In honor of David Wolfe, Love him!, you can find him at www.thebestdayever.com).

Supplementation is always a good way to get what you aren't from your diet, but of course eating the whole food form of it is ideal. That's what we aim to do is help get you information, recipes and share some really awesome ingredients with you.

We also would love to hear from you! Please share your recipes, thoughts and ideas for the circle to continue. Plus we'd love to put any links, books and articles up if they are for the benefit of Man and of course women (Goddess's really:)

I am going to start by sharing with you all my flax "cracker" recipe, I believe it to be the best darn flax cracker out there, but then again I am a little partial. It's REALLY GOOD with fresh organic guacamole or organic raw hummus (recipe coming soon) and sprouts, but it's also great for all kinds of things or just carrying with you for an easy organic, raw snack just by themselves! Enjoy!

Sprout Revolution Sprouted Flax Crackers

Dry Ingredients:

2 Cups Sprout Revolution Premium Organic Sprouted Flax Powder*

¾ cups Organic Almond Meal (ground up almonds, from raw almonds preferably)

¼ cup Organic Ground Buckwheat Grouts

¼ other dry ingredient - you decide and get creative, what feels good

¼ cup Organic Flax Seeds or other kind of seeds

½ cup Organic Sesame Seeds

½ tsp. Sprout Revolution Organic Sprouted Broccoli Powder

Spices (now I spice it up a bit, but you can do variations like Mexican with cilantro, cayenne, etc., Italian with oregano, garlic, basil etc., or Indian with cumin, turmeric, curry, Garam Masala etc.etc. – or you can try your own, again do what feels good ( do I hear James Brown or are those just voices …huh), anyway then you can also add any of your “super foods” and make this delicious treat out of this World!

Liquids:

6-8 Cups Liquid (I sometimes use a vegan broth in combo with spring water or make my own broth with the spring water, depends on what I have on hand) the amount of liquid depends on your climate and how thick (less) or thin (more) you like them.

I also sometimes add 2 tbsp. Cold Pressed Organic Olive Oil or Flax Oil – woohoo Omega’s!

I also add shredded carrots, onions, and anything else I feel like or have but do make sure they are small if you don’t want to get the flavor just from them.

Now, mix it all together with a whisk preferably as the flax tends to get chunky and let it sit for 4-6 hours so the flavors can all meld. Then spread them on your dehydrator sheets and make sure not to have the temp go over 104ish as to keep those enzymes in tact and dehydrate for between 6-18 hours, again depending on desired outcome. You can make them thin and crispy like chips with the long drying time, or thicker with a shorter time for “bread” and crusts etc.

Voila – Enjoy the best darn flax crackers on the planet! Well I AM a bit biasedJ

* Note: If you don’t use Sprout Revolution Spouted Flax Powder I cannot guarantee they will be the best darn crackers or that they will even taste good and they certainly won’t be NEARLY as nutritious without that life in it! You can buy the flax at www.puravidaproducts.com or check your local store, better yet ask them to carry it!

Well enjoy folks, have the best day ever and check out all the lovely sites and blog spots we have currently listed..they are all wonderful resources!! If you'd like to get added just give us a shout. We'll see you back here real soon for some more rawsomely delicious things!!
